Marjanna Anttila (1958-2026)
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our devoted colleague of almost 30 years, following a very brief illness at the end of June. She is irreplaceable to the museum and the association, and will be dearly missed and remembered by all of us among the glass plates, photographs, hard drives and computers.

Through 2026, we continue to preserve Sundbyberg’s cultural heritage and proud history. We collect, document, tell stories, and answer your questions.
Collecting and Preserving
To the very end, we preserve and grow our collection of objects, documents, photographs, images and more connected to Sundbyberg’s history.
Our photo archive will, in the future, become accessible via an organisation outside Sundbyberg. Our extensive document archive will also be moved to another organisation, where you will be able to search and access the source documents.
Telling the Story
We bring history to life through our exhibition, which you can see in the museum – and also digitally (see the link above) – through 2026. Time and volunteer staff permitting, we can also arrange guided tours and walking tours tailored to a particular subject or neighbourhood.

Answering Questions
Through 2026, we research and answer questions about, for example, your home, neighbourhood or family history. If they’re quick to answer, we help members free of charge.
